Signing in

The code never arrived

Check your junk folder first — the code comes from GIFTIT and lands there occasionally on a first sign-in. Codes last ten minutes; if yours has expired, ask for a new one rather than retyping the old. Still nothing after a few minutes? Email the address above with the email you tried.

Signing in with Apple

If you chose Hide My Email, GIFTIT only knows Apple's relay address, not your real one. That's fine and everything works — but if a friend wants to invite you, give them your username rather than an email address.

Sharing a list

Inviting somebody

Open the person, tap Collaborate, and either type the other person's username or send an invitation to their email. They'll see every idea on that list and can claim one so you don't both buy the same thing.

Finding somebody's username

Everybody picks their own in the You tab. Ask them what theirs is — you never need their email address.

Taking somebody off a list

Open the person, tap Collaborate, and remove them from the list of who's in. They lose access to that person's ideas straight away.

What you're buying

A one-off £7.99 unlock, not a subscription. It's yours for good and works on every iPhone signed into the same Apple ID.

Getting it back on a new phone

Open any person, tap Summon gift ideas, then Restore a previous unlock. Make sure you're signed into the same Apple ID you bought it with.

Asking for a refund

Refunds are handled by Apple, not by GIFTIT — there's no way for the app to issue one. Go to reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in, find GIFTIT and choose "Request a refund".

Your account

Changing your name or picture

Open the You tab and edit them there. Changes save as you type.

Deleting your account

Open the You tab and choose Delete account. Everything goes: your people, every gift idea, your photos, your invitations. It happens immediately and cannot be undone, so make sure before you tap it.

Something's broken

Email hello@giftitapp.uk with what you were doing when it went wrong, what you expected, and what happened instead. A screenshot helps enormously.
